Not long before college I got a room in Breda, which is small to say the least. I like space, so I'm not too excited about moving it full of stuff. My mom called me once to say there was a table for sale which she could get for me, but I turned it down. Nice as it was of her, I didn't want it cause of the before mentioned reason. Now, despite me saying no (several times) she got the table anyway and implied I could put it in that and this corner, being somewhat pushy about it. I find that somewhat annoying.

Yesterday I got an email from her saying that the way I react to my superiors strongly reminds me of my three year old cousin, who is supposedly going through her toddler puberty, where everything an elder says is answered with a no.

-Disclaimer: I'm not saying I'm not going through puberty despite me being 20 years old. I just find it funny such a clueless-about-life entity could make such an analysis and genuinly think she's right-

No real point in updating since I'm pretty much dead anyway BUT... If you've read my last entry you'll know that I was trying to get into college. I also need to make a slight correction on that. I said 500+ students sign up for the program. Turns out I was wrong: over a thousand students from all Europe sign up for the Visual Arts direction ALONE. So out of 1000+ I had to make it to the top 60. Somehow.

Application started with three assignments: Draw a landscape, a self-portrait, and a common household object. With it I had to turn in a resume and an application letter, but that wasn't as much of a big deal. After a month of nervously waiting I got a letter saying I had advanced to the next round and was invited to an interview. When I made my way over there May 9th they were behind on schedule so I had to wait for over an hour before it was my turn. Finally the interviewer called my name. Andrew Paquette. If you don't know that name, you should. He was the art director for Xena: Warrior Princess and did artwork for both the Daredevil and Spiderman movie.
The first thing he said as I shook his hand was "Nice to meet you. You have very nice drawings." Just that made go squee internally. He guided me to his office and offered me to sit down after which he said "I'm just gonna tell you now you've already been accepted."

...WHAT?! O_O

Turns out that he'd seen only three other students who's admission assignment were at least as good as mine, and the interview was only a formality. So I'm accepted, recently finished my registration, got (most) of my books yesterday, and I start in September.

So June was for me. And not just because of the interview.
June 15th - My birthday
June 16th - Quit my job.
June 17th - Got on a plane for a much desired month in Canada.

Now I'm back... and I can't wait to go again. Coming back didn't suck enough, so my PS3 decided to punk out on me and I got turned down on a residence room I was interested in. But I guess I can't complain since I should be working to improve more before I go off to college which can make me go two ways. Due to having to spend 40+ hours a week in college my dA could die more than it already has (if that's even possible), OR the opposite happens and my college creations will get to see the light of online day. I guess we'll see.

Yesterday I ate nearly a whole box of Halloween-ish leftover candy, which made me hyper... And today I went back to face the box.

Anyway, I spent most of my day mentally hitting three people in particular so hard the hit echoed though the room. That was fun... #3 was my boss, #2 my brother, and #1 a guy that apparently pisses me off more than I'd like to admit. Though performing that mental activity for over 8 hours straight seems to have obstructed my ability to actively think for more than two seconds at a time.

BUT! On to why I'm actually posting. First of all to let you know I'm not dead. ...Technically anyway. Second is college. If I went to college straight out of highschool I would've started my third year already. Though kinda wishing I was in college already, I'm glad to be where I am now. First year out of highschool I went on exchange to the US for a year. Wouldn't have traded that in. Second year I had some... family issues which are still ongoing, but now I'm not as much the wreck that I used to be. So now year #3 is coming up, and I'm gonna try and get in. "Try" being the operative word. The International Game Architecture and Design Program has an admission allowance of only 120 students, of which 60 of the Visual Arts. The program is one of the few in the country, and from what I know most certainly the best. The Open House I went to on November 8th revealed that students from all over Europe come to study there, so I guess I'm in for a ride. Out of 500-600+ applicants a year I'm gonna have to make it to the top 60.

Oh, and if any of you have any tips/knowledge on technical drawing and ways to improve spatial comprehension you could spare it'd be much appreciated >_>

Lately I've been having a lot of issues with submitting my deviations. Every time I do something fucks up after which I get "This page cannot be displayed." I've gotten kinda used to it since I run into this more often when on DA, but when submitting deviations, especially.

With my last one, for example, it wasn't until after the third time that I was succesful in submitting. Granted, I submitted during system maintenance, but with or without system maintenance I often encounter the problem. Am I the only one running into this or have more of you experienced it?
