As part of my admission assignment I have to draw a landscape. Sometimes I hate this country being as flat as it is. I went scouting in the dunes, but with little to no succes. I spent four hours, but not all was wasted.

Not even five minutes after I enter I come across an area with some small hills and some trees grouped together. Just as I reach it I see something moving among the trees, and soon make out the set of antlers that belong to a male deer stopping right on top of on of the hills to look out over the area. I never had much with deers before until I saw what I saw. There's not much like the sight of such a majestic animal looking out over its territory.

I continued along the path towards it, soon spotting another male with the same fully grown antlers. They noticed me and I thought they would do either of two things: attack me or run. To my surprise they appeared calm.
I became curious at that point and slowly started to approach them, soon finiding that I stumbled upon a group of 4(!) male deers that had no problem with me whatsoever. When I was about 15 yards away and they still remained calm I waited and tried to see what happened if I grabbed my sketchbook, at which point I became completely dumbfound; when I grabbed my pencil they just looked at me before laying down! I spent at least an hour drawing them, often within a range of 10 yards.
